Bishop Ronald Abbott
Ronald Abbott was born June 27, 1947. He graduated from high school in 1965. He attended Ventura Junior College in Ventura, California and then transferred to Christian Life College in Stockton, California. In 1967, he married his current wife, Marjorie. After finishing college, Ronald and Marjorie traveled as evangelists for the United Pentecostal Church. They conducted revivals across California, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
In 1971, they became associate pastors in Modesto, California at a large growing church.
In January 1972, they accepted the Senior Pastor’s role here in Tulare, California. It was a small church with approximately 35 in attendance. Over the next 40 years, they saw God bless the church as the congregation grew to what is now called Abundant Life Center, a strong fellowship of over 300 in attendance.
In 1995, a beautiful new building was built on 5.3 acres. The first service was in January 1996. There has been positive growth under the leadership of Pastor Abbott each year.
On the weekend of June 2-3, 2012, the church celebrated with Bishop Abbott 40 years of Pastoral Ministry here at Abundant Life Center, 45 Years of Marriage, and June 27, 2012 the 65th birthday of Bishop Ronald Abbott.
Bishop Abbott is still a vital pastoral member of Abundant Life Center with his years of experience and a heart for the people.
